Melbourne security projects
With more than 25 years’ experience, Matryx has a longstanding reputation in the security industry in Melbourne. When businesses and organisations realise that physical safety is imperative to operations, we’re proud that they turn to us for help.
ANZ
A security risk assessment of their largest property asset.
ANZ Bank is one of Australia’s best known financial institutions. Its global headquarters in the Docklands is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest commercial buildings.
Matryx undertook security risk assessments on ANZ’s commercial property portfolio, including their Docklands building with a floor area exceeding 83,000m2.
The assessment exposed risks that ANZ hadn’t been aware of, identifying security risks with the building’s commercial lease residents. Our assessment armed ANZ with solutions to proactively safeguard their property as well as the people who use it.
Powercor
The power of a five year security strategy.
Powercor supplies electricity across 64% of Victoria, powering households, commercial and industrial businesses, healthcare, agriculture, forestry and fishing.
Matryx was engaged to formalise Powercor’s security strategy for the next five years, setting benchmark security designs for all their properties. Powercor’s electricity substation sites all range in size, with unique site features. Matryx developed a consistent design and strategy so that Powercor could apply the same level of security across all their assets.
Powercor now has security standards to set them in good stead for the next five years.
Box Hill Institute
Assessing security preparedness for the safety of students and teachers.
Box Hill Institute has three Melbourne campuses – each has an element of uniqueness. Student and teacher safety is of paramount importance.
Matryx was selected to undertake an enterprise-wide review of Box Hill Institute’s security risk management practices. Our review was all-encompassing, assessing the institute’s level of preparedness to deal with security on a daily basis, and its readiness for possible major incidents.
While enterprise security practices were a key element of the review, building security and staff and student safety were the main drivers for the project.
