Department of Families, Fairness and Housing

One of Victoria’s key service delivery organisations – Department of Families, Fairness and Housing - engaged us to improve safety across 62 locations, including Forensic Disability, Housing, Child Protection and Family Safety.

Rising incidents of occupational violence and aggression highlighted the need for a comprehensive, people-focused approach to security.

We combined detailed onsite assessments with extensive consultation to capture technical vulnerabilities and frontline realities.

The result was a set of clear audit reports that provided leadership with a consolidated view of risks and a pathway toward an enterprise-wide security framework that strengthens staff safety while supporting essential service delivery.

City of Stonnington (Melbourne Inner South East)

The City of Stonnington is a local government area comprising the inner south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We conducted a security risk assessment of five properties and one public open space in the council area.

Council staff may have to deal with people who could be drug or alcohol affected, itinerant, have mental health issues and those people that are just having bad days. As council buildings are mostly open to the public, people do have an expectation that they can enter them with little or no restriction.

The review considered the properties construction and general layout, location and the immediate neighbourhood, recent incidents and the possible exposure levels to future incidents, and the likely consequences.

VicRoads Customer Service Centres (Site wide review)

With the potential for a wide range of security risks impacting staff, infrastructure, operations and the broader community, VicRoads sought our expertise.

We conducted a comprehensive assessment of physical and personal security measures across selected VicRoads customer service centres.

Our recommendations aimed to enhance security measures, reduce potential threats, and improve the safety of staff, customers and properties. They also provided valuable input to a related tender document. The assessment informed security enhancements for all VicRoads sites, ensuring a consistent and effective approach to safety and risk management.
