Examples from the field
Fire Rescue Victoria - Enhancing security and operational resilience
Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) delivers critical emergency services across the state, including firefighting, rescue, and hazardous materials management. To strengthen the security and resilience of its facilities, FRV engaged Matryx to develop a comprehensive Security Risk Management Framework.
We conducted detailed risk and security assessments across FRV’s property portfolio, evaluating physical layouts, locations, and past incidents to identify vulnerabilities in both physical and electronic security.
The resulting framework aligned with industry best practice, focusing on risk assessment, maintenance protocols, and continuous monitoring to embed security into daily operations.
SA Housing Authority - Practical steps for safer housing
The SA Housing Authority engaged Matryx Consulting to conduct a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) assessment of a 40-year-old public housing estate.
We examined the site’s layout, neighbourhood context, incident history, and vulnerabilities impacting residents.
Our team delivered expert recommendations to improve security, reduce risk, and build safer spaces, helping the Authority better support tenants, many of whom have complex needs.
QLD Health - Secure Central Pharmacy Facility
Queensland Health approved the establishment of a new 8,000sqm warehouse to accommodate Central Pharmacy operations, supporting the storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals to hospitals statewide.
Project Consulting was engaged as the security specialist to ensure compliance with Section 9 and 10 of the TGA’s Australian Code of Good Wholesaling Practice for Medicines and Queensland Health’s Standard for secure storage of Schedule 8 medicines.
Our work included a comprehensive risk assessment, review of construction and fit-out plans, and development of a security risk management plan.
Final sign-off confirmed the facility met regulatory and licensing requirements for safe pharmaceutical storage.
